Common Questions about Pricing and Projects

What kind of projects do you take on?

I take on content writing projects that are business, finance, marketing, historical, art or health & wellness related. This includes freelance articles, blog posts, books and eBooks.

What are your rates for short articles and blog posts?

The price on this content ranges depending on certain factors. You can expect to pay between $0.75 and $1.00 per word.

How much is it to ghostwrite my finance, business or insurance book?

The price for book projects range depending on the scope of the project and the complexity involved. Multiple book orders and simplified, unformatted books are around $60 per page, while individual book projects requiring extensive research, sidebars, call-out boxes and other features will be around $80 per page.

What services can I choose from when you write my book?

In addition to communicating your message the way you want it communicated, I provide the following:

  • Content submitted weekly or monthly, depending on the project timeline

  • Interviews by email or phone to establish the desired direction and voice for each section

  • Time spent reviewing your existing website and marketing content and compiling additional research necessary

  • Title page, copyright info, about page, introduction and table of contents

  • Call-outs (highlighted content presented in boxes or using other graphic forms), examples, lessons learned, etc.

  • Footnoted sources or an additional resources page

  • Two rounds of edits per section to enable you to provide guidance on any direction changes or additions you’d like to incorporate

  • Eye-catching back-matter book description (sometimes called “blurbs”) for the back of the book and retail pages

Are books, blog posts and articles paid for upfront?

All projects require a deposit of 50% or $500, whichever is larger. Final payment is due within 7 days of submission of first draft.

Payments for books generally require a 25% downpayment with a subsequent 25% milestone payment due as each section of the first draft is completed and submitted.

For hourly projects, 50% of the project estimate is due as a deposit with the balance determined at completion.

What can I expect when working with you?

One of the most important things you can rely on is receiving quality work on time and to length. When I agree to a deadline for your project, you can forget about the project, secure in the knowledge you will receive your content upon the agreed date.

In terms of content development, I have the ability to write welcoming, authoratative, and easy-to read articles and blog posts. When ghostwriting, I work to develop the right tone of voice for your project.
